Leonardo da Vinci didn’t niche down. Neither should you.

Long before online gurus were preaching “niche down,”Reader, teachers, family and society as a whole were whispering the same thing:

“Pick a focus. Choose one lane. Stop being so scattered.”

I’ve heard it my entire creative life—from other artists, from coaches, from the industry. And maybe you have, too.

But here’s the truth: for multipassionates like us, that advice is a sure-fire way to die on the vine. We try to follow it, but it doesn't work, and we feel like failures.

So, how about a reframe?

Your many passions aren’t the problem.

They’re what make your story worth listening to, your brand worth remembering and the special something you bring to the world impossible to ignore.

(This isn’t new. In the Renaissance, multipotentiality was celebrated. Leonardo da Vinci was a painter, musician, scientist, inventor… and no one told him to “niche down.” His genius literally WAS his incredible range!)

That’s why I was thrilled to join Diane Foy’s Superfan Attraction for Creatives—a private podcast series with 10 multipassionate experts who get it.

Inside, you’ll hear from voices like:

🎙Madison Tinder

She's made $1M with her multipassionate brand—learn how she did it, and how you can build a brand that embraces alter egos, multiple passions and whatever social platform you actually enjoy (hers is TikTok).

🎙Jazelle Iona

Jazelle shares how expressive arts and sound healing can bypass overthinking, unlock buried emotions, and help you reconnect with your mission.

🎙Brooke Benson

Brooke’s approach to money mindset is gold. She helps creative entrepreneurs conquer the fear of money convos, financials and bookkeeping.

🎙And me!

As always, I've got a few choice nuggets for you about how to live life on your terms and ask for forgiveness, not permission.

This series is for the “too many ideas” crowd who refuse to be boxed in. The creatives who want to connect the dots of their passions into a profitable, soul-aligned brand—and attract superfans who can’t wait to shout about you from the rooftops.

My best friend and I were talking recently about the days when, as bartenders, our schedule consisted of working, after-shift drinking and sleeping on repeat. Often, I would come to work on a Monday and a regular would ask, “What’d you get up to this weekend?” And I would pause and think: Huh, what DID I do this weekend? before stumbling through a mostly fabricated response to hide my drinking-related memory loss. My bestie had the same experience. We both mulled that over for a minute or...

Reader, have you ever noticed how you can go your whole life not seeing a particular car model—and then the minute you decide you want to buy it, it’s everywhere? Like, suddenly every street corner and freeway stretch is crawling with Volkswagen EOSs, and you’re wondering if they were all just wearing invisibility cloaks until now. So what gives? (Besides magick, obvi.) It’s neuroscience. Those cars were always there. But your conscious mind has to filter through 11 million bits of...

A surreal digital collage depicting the chaos of productivity culture: a woman with a stoic expression sits at the center, surrounded by sticky notes, swirling around her in a colorful, overstimulating vortex that illustrates the overwhelm and pressure of

If you consider yourself a “doer,” Reader, who is always racing the clock, you might think the answer to all your problems is optimization. Life hacks. A time management system so effective it will finally let you do it all. I’ve both bought into and sold the idea that you can do every little thing your heart desires if only you organize, streamline and discipline yourself enough. The problem with optimization, however, is that the more time you manage to free up, the longer the list gets of...
